Abstract
Experimental study using the communication robot ApriPoco and the near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) brain monitoring method was presented in this paper to confirm whether country-by-country differences given by robot´s motion induced different response in observers. Brain activity in the cortex area associated with a mirror neuron was investigated for Japanese and Chinese participants during watching greetings of the robot that mimicked gestures in different country´s styles. As a result, it was significantly confirmed that nationality difference of participants appeared in means of the sum of cerebral blood flow change.
