Abstract
In the present paper the control strategies of Roy and Venturini for the 3×3 matrix converter topology are presented and analyzed. The main aim of the presented matrix converter is to be used with wind generator for grid connected applications. A comparison study between the two control strategies is achieved according to the quality of the output voltage and current under typical R-L load based on the THD evaluation. Simulation results are presented for the validation of the two control strategies and to clarify the main advantages and drawbacks of both strategies.
