Abstract :
This paper presents a design method of a fractional PI controller, which guarantees time and frequency-domain performances for first order plus dead time (FOPDT) systems. The method optimize a criterion based on the overshoot and the time response of the closed loop system. A numerical example and a real system application show the proposed method efficiency.
