Abstract :
This paper presents modeling and analysis of applying Single Phase Matrix Converter (SPMC) in a single phase Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) topologies. A simulation was done using Matlab/Simulink software to model and analyze the DVR system embedded with SPMC towards mitigating the voltage sag. In this simulation a single line to ground fault is used to create the disturbance to the load and a Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) strategy is used as the switching technique to control the switches.
