Abstract
The concept of non-discrimination in deregulated power system is still in debate as the conventional techniques are incapable of establishing fair losses charge allocation. Some of the recent power tracing techniques is workable for nondiscriminatory allocation; however, only at certain power system conditions. To provide effectiveness for such purpose, this paper proposes a power tracing technique using metaheuristic optimization for non-discriminatory losses charge allocation considering the change in loading condition of the system. The competing methods used for the purpose of comparison are the conventional power tracing and conventional losses charge allocation methods. After evaluation on IEEE 30-Bus reliability test system (RTS), the proposed technique promised satisfactory and reliable results as compared to those from the competing methods.
