Abstract :
This paper describes the design and implementation of a new control method of shunt active filter to achieve near-sinusoïdal source current waveform under unbalanced and distorted source voltage conditions. The proposed configuration, based on instantaneous active and reactive powers (pq method), uses the high selectivity extraction multivariable filters (MVF). These latters permit overall extraction of harmonic currents and reactive power references in order to achieve their compensation. Simulation results have proved excellent performance, and verify the validity of the proposed method, which are much better than conventional methods.
