Abstract :
A jumping algorithm for calibration in multiphase delay locked loop has been proposed. The proposed sequential jumping algorithm reduces the hardware cost for high resolution phase detector (PD) as compared with a conventional sequential calibration. The jumping algorithm also achieves fast calibration. In addition, the output phase performance is improved because the effectiveness of jumping algorithm avoids the phase transition states. We use the Matlab to simulate the proposed algorithm as compared with sequential algorithm. Experimental measurements verify the performance improvement of the proposed jumping algorithm.
