Abstract
Currently, boundary integral equations are predominantly used for the solution of scattering problems involving isotropic components. However, in this contribution, the extension of boundary integral equations to anisotropic components is considered. The main problems arising from this are the computation of the Green´s dyadics and the evaluation of the impedance integrals. Recent progress towards solving these issues is presented.
