Abstract
This paper describes the comparison of numerical and experimental results of the radiation and scattering characteristics of a tapered slot array antenna (TSA). The purpose of the comparison is to validate the effectiveness of a developed analysis technique based on the method of moments for broadband antennas. Since the radiation and scattering characteristics depend on the electrical property of the circuits connected to antenna terminals, 50Ω or open terminators are connected to the input ports of the TSA. The numerical and experimental results are in good agreement; thus, it indicates that the developed technique enables us to analyze the electric characteristic of broadband antennas.
