Abstract
Compared the measurement results in two different bandwidths, Ultra-wide band (UWB 3-10 GHz) and Narrow Band (NB 402MHz). We figured out the multi path situation by comparing the measurement results in empty flat box and in the homogenous tissue. The maximum distance of the measurement in this paper is 9 cm considering the huge path-loss in UWB measurement. Based on the analysis of the DME, the TOA of the first peak in UWB measurement and the phase of signal in narrowband measurement can both provide the accurate location information for BAN application.
