Abstract :
Power line interference is a common problem in the acquisition of electrocardiographic signals. Different techniques have been used in order to cancel power line interference such as adaptive filters with a high quality factor. Each of these techniques have been specific disadvantages such as large transient response or the inability to track changes in the frequency of the power line interference for its removal. In this article, an alternative filtering method is presented. This method is capable to track deviations of the frequency associated to the power line interference, keeping a narrow stop band with a reduced transient response. The filtering strategy was implemented with the aid of a chpKIT max32 as a discrete-time system. Measurements results confirm the adequate operation of the proposed discrete-time filter.
