Abstract
In this paper, analysis and computer simulation results are presented to examine the effect of Gaussian noise on interference suppression performance of Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) wireless receivers adopting blind source separation techniques. As expected, the interference suppression performance degraded with the addition of Gaussian noise. In addition, it is found that, if the receiver adopts a recently proposed structure with only one antenna and a single downconversion path, the Gaussian noise has more detrimental effect on the system performance, as compared to receivers with two antennas and two downconversion paths. This phenomenon is consistent with our theoretical analysis.
