Abstract :
This paper attempts to provide a study on the level of CO2 emissions that impacts the environment of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA and if unchecked how the increased CO2 emissions will lead to further degradation of the environment in the future. As long as conventional fossil fuels are used for power generation, the increase in the emission level will be proportional to the increase in power generation. Statistics linking the same are provided. Additionally, graphs of irradiation and temperature for three different electricity service regions are enclosed. Results of the implementation of a large-scale PV in the three regions are provided. Without doubt, increase in power generated through the PV system will significantly reduce CO2 emission; make our environment cleaner and safer for future generations.
