  • Abstract
    A novel, intelligent, high performance and universal purpose pole mounted switch controller with embedded operating system is presented in this paper. It is then demonstrated that the performance and specifications of current art pole mounted switch and it´s controller can be substantially improved by using state of the art technologies in electrical power, embedded operating systems, sensors and network communications, achieving superior intelligent functions in remote control and communication, online upgrading, signal acquisition and processing, and so on. Finally, the study attempts to lay the foundation for the realization of an intelligent automated distribution system, as well as outline its broad market applicability in relevant industries.
