Abstract :
In consideration of serious kinds of constraints and technical requirements in engineering practice, we established the mathematical model of optimization design of truss structure and proposed a synchronous cellular genetic algorithm to solve the model by bringing in synchronous mechanism to genetic algorithm. The proposed algorithm not only inherits the superiority in global search of genetic algorithm, but also equips with better search capacity and efficiency by introducing the theory of cellular automata . At last, the super performance of the proposed algorithm is proved by the results of comparative testing on an example of truss structure optimization design.
