Abstract :
An algorithm on the estimation of DOA with unknown number of signal sources and suitable for parallel real-time computation is presented in this paper. According to the theory of adaptive beamforming and LMS or RLS fast iteration algorithm, the nulls which represent directions of signals are formed at the appropriate positions on array antenna beam pattern in the new algorithm. The computer simulation results show that the algorithm can be applied in uniform linear array and uniform circular array. The precision and the resolution are near equal to those of MUSIC. However, this algorithm has lower computational complexity.
