Abstract
The context concept that healthcare applications use is extended and refined as a multifaceted collection of information about the situation in which an entity, be it person or application, is. This information may reshape the interpretation that other entities involved in interactions with that entity give to the entity state or behavior. Studying the context-awareness in the domain of digital health ecosystems highlights new facets for the context of entities in the real and virtual world, and enriches healthcare scenarios with added conversational bandwidth.
