Abstract :
The consumer electronic devices become more popular, especially in the multimedia home environment. This paper presents a real-time scalable streaming system in home environment. The system is designed with a bandwidth adaptive control. In the implementation system, the server provides smooth SVC streaming for users with heterogeneous network environment. To again bandwidth fluctuation, the frame rate is adaptive according to bit rates with bandwidth condition. The scheme is implemented in the system with real streaming sequence test bench, the peak signal noise ratio (PSNR) improves in average 6.23% than the original JSVM software. Therefore, users have a smoothly video service during transmission in multimedia home environment.
