Abstract :
In this paper, we implement our previously proposed inter-layer protection scheme to protect the RTP-based SVC video streaming service based on the DVB AL-FEC. The proposed scheme enables the video data in a more important layer to be recovered with a higher probability. To verify the feasibility of the proposed scheme, we fully design and implement the corresponding interfaces and components. The experimental result shows that the proposed scheme can enhance the lower layer reconstruction for RTP-based SVC video data.
