  • Abstract
Mobile phone networks are increasingly supporting the transmission of textual message between individuals. In this paper we tried to introduce a new approach for Bangladeshi people who send SMS in Bangla using English alphabets. This approach is mainly applicable for left-handed users but also useful for right handed user. We tried to reduce key strokes and key jamming while writing SMS and faster typing method which is comfortable for thumb movement. We have followed simple frequency calculating algorithm to find frequency of the most used alphabets. We have research on thumb movement and arranged the alphabets in a way which reduced key jamming. In this approach reduction rate of key strokes and key jamming for both handed is 29.16% and 4.727% respectively than the regular system. In comparison with the previous works in this field, our proposed approach is the most efficient for faster typing, reducing key jamming and key strokes.
