Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a methodology to obtain proper power/ground port termination impedance for accurate simulation of power delivery network (PDN) by using its s-parameter. We apply the optimized power/ground port termination impedance to analyze the power transfer from DC-DC converter to ASIC and the noise coupling between PDN and the transmission line. The simulation results with the optimized power/ground port impedance agree very well with the measurements.
