Abstract :
A key challenging area in micro-scale energy harvesting system is that the miniature energy transducers output voltage is very low. This low voltage results lower speed and noise margins in digital circuits and lower dynamic range in analog circuits. Therefore an efficient charge pump circuit is needed which can achieve higher output voltage from the available low supply voltage. In this paper we present a new strategy to enhance the output voltage of a single clock charge pump circuit that utilize the internal boosted voltage. The proposed design has been implemented using 0.18 μm CMOS technology node and circuit simulations demonstrate that the proposed design strategy results in increased output voltage up to 18% compared to the existing single clock charge pump circuit.
