Abstract :
To err is human... True to this old saying, human beings are prone to making mistakes. His thirst to make worlds all valuable assets his own has earned him a very bad name. This thirst makes him do anything, breach the laws and make mistakes after mistakes. This may be the reason why men preferred security of his own assets and properties. Temples and religious places face the same threat. India being a land of many religions and varied cultures has many temples. These temples are the resource of faith and power for the entire people. Many valuable assets belong to these temples. The deities and temple jewels worth millions in the international market. And these temples have no security system that would protect these assets and this attracts many thieves to pursue with their skills. As a solution of this issue we are coming up with a system called Guardicon. It is energy efficient, cost effective and implementable too. Prototype development of Guard icon is described in this paper.
