Abstract :
Reliability is the ability of a system to perform and maintain its functions in routine circumstances. Vulnerability refers to the inability to withstand the effects of a hostile environment and it si the time frame. The conventional reliability analysis gives only the probability of failure for a particular period. The vulnerability and comprehensive reliability assessment is most essential in the modern design of sophisticated engineering systems including photovoltaic systems. This paper is an insight into all aspects of design of a system to withstand the environmental impacts.
