Abstract :
Today, in order to fulfill the growing need of electricity, renewable energy has occupied respectable position. Wind energy has become the most promising renewable energy source. Small wind turbine technology is in embryonic stage. The simple, cost effective and reliable small wind turbine system is the need of hour. This work is related to unidirectional co-axial series rotor wind turbine. In this wind turbine a large rotor is substituted by number of small rotors. These small rotors are mounted at appropriate interval on an inclined shaft, so that each rotor receives fresh wind flow. The generator is mounted at one end of the shaft. The prediction of power output for a micro wind turbine is presented in this work. A developed dual rotor model is evaluated primarily and discussed.
