Abstract
In recent times, Ultra-wideband (UWB) technology has made the designers to design a convenient and high speed wireless communication for home and commercial applications. The UWB receivers are used to capture and process these UWB signals and Low-Noise-Amplifier (LNA) plays very important role in UWB receivers. Inductor plays very important role in design of LNA. The effect of inductor over the other components of the LNA circuit causes adverse effect in their performances. So, to overcome these problems on-chip inductors should be modeled with an aim that it should not affect other component´s performance in LNA circuit. In this work, various effect of on-chip passive spiral inductor are discussed and a comparative analysis of the proposed on-chip inductor model with already existing models is done. The results show that for the proposed inductor model the quality factor and input matching are very efficient when compared with other models.
