  • Abstract
A challenge in processing of chromosome images is separation of the images with one chromosome from those having more than one (touching / overlapped) chromosomes. This separation process requires high accuracy as it is the basis of formation of a karyotype. In this research the problem has been solved using Artificial Neural Networks. The given karyotype is then compared with a healthy one to detect the possibility of various diseases.
