  • Abstract
In this paper, the performance study of the vector control method applied to a three phase squirrel cage induction motor with rotor broken bars faults as well as with both faults simultaneously is being presented. The fault diagnosis technique used in this work is based on the spectral analysis of electrical and mechanical quantities such as currents (id, iq), speed error (ew), direct current error (eId), quadratic current error (eIq) and voltage. Simulation as well as experimental results are being carried and presented to illustrate the influence of vector control on a faulty squirrel cage induction motor.
