Abstract
The paper considers inner-loop control of a hypersonic glider. To maintain vehicle flight, pointwise-in-time constraints on vehicle state and control variables need to be enforced. To enforce constraints, an Extended Command Governor (ECG) is augmented to the nominal LQ-PI controller. Simulation results demonstrate the capability of the ECG to enforce the constraints while minimizing the degradation in the vehicle responsiveness.
