Welcome message from the General Chair

This conference is hosted by the IEEE New South Wales Section. This conference is a multi disciplinary event, having a power engineering stream and an electronics and communications engineering streams. The advantage of such a wide variety of presentations is that delegates may sample technologies that are not their main field of interest. In other words one can learn about technologies that may be of interest. Suchcross Fertilisation of ideas can often Iead to new ideas and opportunities. But even within one´s own core discipline one can build new friendships and develop new opportunities for future collaboration. Attendance at conferences provides an opportunity to sound off one´s ideas. It provides feedback that can be used to bench mark one´s own work. Such benchmarking can be a very useful reality check. And, by the way you also get your paper published. From next year on, this conference will be called the Tencon Symposium.
