  • Abstract
    This paper is aimed at investigation steady-state power flow through an extended microgrid (MG) connected to the main supply grid to irrigate about 25 km2 in Toshka area, Egypt. The extended MG includes 576 MG, each contains PV system, wind system and irrigation load. Different aggregation models are proposed to reduce the size of the extended MG into 24-, 12- and 1-MG models. The daily variations of the voltage and active power at the system buses with 11.5 MW connected-load are determined at varying solar irradiation and wind speed over the day.
