Abstract
Engineering smart environments needs a set of requirements of smart living and a generic smart environment platform. This paper describes conceptual requirements using terms developed in our previously described transportation metaphor. In particular, we have limited the smart living to be generating wealth in forms of product-service-value systems (PSV-S). It further uses an engine paradigm to create ICT engines to be the generic smart environment platform.
