  • Abstract
It´s one of the key factors of utilizing the technology of gob-side entry retaining in steep coal seam that safely and effectively prevent caving rock blocks from rushing into the gob-side entry by sliding downwards along levels. Considering steep coal seam, mining process in fully-mechanize face is numerically simulated, the stress and deformation process of roof strata is analyzed, the difficulty of utilizing the technology is considered, which all are combined with practice in steep working face in Lvshuidong Mine. The feasibility analysis of utilizing the technology of gob-side entry retaining in steep coal seam is obtained.
