Abstract :
MIPS, MIPS/W, MIPS/□, as processors´ performance parameters, are determined by integrated circuits´ process parameters such as working voltage V, working frequency f, chip area S and so on. Based on the research of multi-core processors, under certain IC process technology, with the constraints of power consumption P, chip area S, working frequency f, and with the setting that the tasks´ parallel degree is 1, the function between the response time T and the number of cores N is deduced, and a design method for reducing the embedded multi-core processors´ power consumption through multi-core architecture is proposed. Considering the difficulties in IC process technology´s development, the significance of this method will be emphasized.
