Abstract :
The existing soil anchor of steel strand encapsulated by cement has many disadvantages such as longer anchorage length, more construction process and not timely bearing load. Compared with the existing soil anchor, new umbrella-shape soil anchor has lots of advantages: simple structure, convenient construction, high bearing capacity, timely anchoring soil. Umbrella-shaped soil anchor is composed by anchor head and jacking device. Anchor head has two anchor plates, a V-shape connection plate. Jacking device includes push rod and fan-shaped slide block. The jacking force is the summation of the side friction resistance and the frontal resistance. The result of experiment about the jacking force shows that the change of the frontal resistance is not obvious with the increase of the jacking distance and the frictional force increases linearly with the jacking distance. The calculation formula of the jacking force has practical value. The anchor plate bears the passive earth pressure in soil. Anti-pull force balances to the passive earth pressure.
