Abstract :
Motivation. Careful design of application protocols in Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) typically ensures satisfactory operation provided the network is able to deliver the packets with high probability within certain deadlines. On the other hand, the limited amount of the available radio frequency spectrum and the widespread usage of battery-powered components introduce additional performance constraints.
