Abstract :
This paper experimentally demonstrates a low latency optical switch prototype leveraging the arrayed-waveguide-grating router (AWGR) based switching fabric and fast tunable lasers. The experimental results collected from the testbed are analyzed in detail, and then compared with the data generated by our network level switch simulator, verifying the accuracy of the simulator. Then the simulator is used to project the switch performance to high port count.
