Abstract
The paper firstly analyzed the navigation system, including the vessels, single-fairway, berths, and anchorage et al. Then, a port navigation operation simulation model was established by Arena considering the characteristics of vessel navigation, the production and operation of coastal bulk cargo port area. Besides, in order to study the fairway capacity, the operation days and service level were taken into account as control variables in the model. Finally, a calculation formula was obtained to calculate the fairway capacity under diverse service level and operation days. The results showed that it would be more significant to increase the operation days to improve single-fairway capacity when the single-fairway was longer and the service level was better.
