Abstract
With the development of power grid, the management of the power network has been significantly enhanced with various Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs), communications and software. In the network level, various types of management software, such as Energy Management System (EMS), Wide Area Measurement System (WAMS), Power Stability Management System, and Disturbance Management System, are used to manage the whole network. In station level, various IEDs, such as protection, control, monitoring, metering, disturbance recorder, Phase Measurement Unit, are used to manage the substation. Generally the IEDs and software are supplied by multivendors. So the data structure and format are different among multi-vendor products. During the system-level commissioning, it will take a long time and heavy workload to solve the data interfaces among different vendors´ products. This paper introduced an Integration of Secondary System (ISS) based on the unified data platform to solve the mentioned problems. The utilities could obtain the unified management system of the whole network from the dispatching center to the substations. All the data is classified and shared by all points in the utility level. The unified data format realizes the easy extending of new applications.
