Abstract :
Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emission regulation and Renewable Energy Sources (RES) promotion policies have been implemented in many counties. Yet the two kinds of regulation measures could have complex interactions between each other, which can either enhance or reduce the overall emission reduction efficiency. In this paper, based on a novel Dynamic Simulation Platform of Power Economy & Power System (DSPES), the policy effectiveness, cost effectiveness and dynamic efficiency of different policy mixtures are studied. Simulation results show that these two kinds of measures can coexist, but good coordination should be made between emission regulation and RES promotion, which can help to achieve better emission reduction outcomes.
