Abstract :
In this paper a single-axis motion control of wind turbine is discussed and wind turbine controller FBs is designed so as to use IEC 61131 FBs library for the wind turbine controller programming, which makes wind turbine controller software to be simple, clear and more flexible. The I/O correspondence between IEC 61131 Single-Axis FBs and wind turbine controller is discussed first. In view of the Betz´s law from aerodynamics, the question about rotor speed as input variable instead of wind speed has been confirmed in this paper. After a brief introduction of the turbine control systems and general control principle of wind turbine, the single-axis FBs of wind turbine are proposed. A simplified FB network is used to describe pitch and torque motion control system. The software implementation of the signal-axis FBs are illustrated finally.
