Abstract
In recent years, Business Intelligence systems as one of the main applications in Information Technology has developed rapidly and using its tools for being profitable and ensuring organizations´ survival has become an inevitable necessity. Business Intelligence is a set of abilities, technologies, tools and strategies that help managers have a better perception of the organizations´ conditions and, by increasing the profitability in the competitive market, make an intelligent use of the existing data for their decision-making processes. In this regard, BICC, that is a specialized center for establishment and effectiveness of BI, is an important element for organizations´ success and a motive as well as a supporter of operations throughout the organizations. The main reasons for establishing these centers are to reduce facing probable failures, and to be able to design flexible plans and guidelines for future. Focusing on globalization and retaining the competitive advantage in organizations, this study presents BI Strategic Imperatives, and by doing the pathology of BI projects, it suggests the formation of BICC as a comprehensive solution for ensuring the achievement of BI projects. Investigating national and global experiences regarding improvement strategies for BI projects in BICC, it compiles effective strategies by using the analytic matrix SWOT.
