Abstract :
In consideration of aperture fill time caused by wide angle beam scanning, a novel algorithm based on frequency shifting is proposed for compensating aperture fill time, comparing with the conventional phase shifting method, which can only realize the synchronization of carrier phase, the proposed method can further realize the synchronization of modulated pulse phase, which can resolved coherent integration of modulated pulsed received by antenna array. The realization structure of frequency shifting method is given in theory from two processes of transmitting and receiving respectively, the range compensation is studied with emphasis, and the factors affecting range compensation accuracy are given. The simulation based on signal indicates the validity of modulated pulse phase synchronization by frequency shifting, and the relationship between SNR loss and range compensation accuracy is given in graph.
