Abstract
For the multi-channel ground moving target indication (GMTI) system in the aircraft platform, the channel mismatch will degrade the detection probability for moving targets, since the correlation property of the clutter between channels is decreased. In this paper, a novel channel equalization approach is presented, which uses the spatial correlation property of ground clutters from multi-channels to evaluate the mismatch errors without the signal calibration component, reducing the complexity of the multi-channel airborne SARGMTI system. Theoretical analysis shows that the response of the estimated equalizer is close to the practical mismatch errors when the clutter-to-noise ratio (CNR) of the data is high enough. Furthermore, experimental results using measured data are given to demonstrate the validity of the proposed method.
