Abstract :
A constrained adaptive sum-difference monopulse algorithm based on sub-array is presented in this paper. Adaptive processing is first conducted for sum beam of each sub-array and then for difference beam of each sub-array by adding monopulse ratio constraint, which yields adaptive sum beam and constrained difference beam respectively. Since the monopulse ratio constraint is imposed on whole array during calculating adaptive weight of difference beam, the aperture loss due to sub-array is overcome. Moreover, the new algorithm can null the mainlobe jamming and sidelobe jamming effectively while keeping adaptive monopulse ratio undistorted, which improves the angle measurement accuracy. The simulation experiments demonstrated the validity of the proposed algorithm.
