Abstract :
The paper presents a novel repeat jamming method capable of generating false targets in range from intercepted radar chirp signals. The proposed approach divides a received radar signal into several equal parts and then transmitted them back to the radar in a different order. The essence of the spectrum-divided jamming is that the spectrum of a radar chirp signal is separated into several equal pulses and rearranged in a different order to form a whole jamming signal before being retransmitted. The output of each jamming pulse after the matched filter is addressed. The divided number and the optimal retransmitted order are analyzed. Numeric simulations are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
