Abstract :
In this paper, spatial adaptive mainlobe jamming suppression method for STAP airborne radar is proposed, utilizing sum, difference and auxiliary channels, which will dramatically degrade the implementation of airborne radar system. The method performs well when there are mainlobe and sidelobe jamming, and maintains excellent clutter suppression performance in conjunction with STAP. In this paper, the performance results obtained by measured data demonstrate the superiority of the proposed algorithm in jamming environment for STAP-based airborne radar, where only the spatial pattern forming is considered. Besides, the presented method is also applicable to continuous aperture radar.
