Abstract
Multistatic ultra-wideband radar is acknowledged to be useful for through-wall human tracking. In this paper, the global information processing chain for a multistatic ultra-wideband radar system is described, and experimental results are provided to validate the approach for Through-The-Wall detection and location of moving human targets. The design options for the system are first presented and justified, and the required information processing steps are briefly summarized. Special attention is then devoted to the issue of tracks association between different receivers, and an information-based technique exploiting range-Doppler video sequences from each receiver is shown to be an adequate solution. Finally, the overall structure of the information processing chain is summarized, and the remaining areas for research are outlined.
