Abstract
The broadband scattering characteristics of a typical antenna array layout with different electrical dimensions have been analysed in the paper. The scattering characteristics of built models which including Antenna mode scattering, structural mode scattering and Bragg lobes are studied with physical optics (PO) method in the case of Co-polarization and crosspolarization. Additionally, the reason of Bragg lobes has been demonstrated which is consistent with simulation figures. The analysis provides theoretical foundations for the low observable (LO) design of antenna arrays.
