Abstract
Trucks are widely used in transportation or on battlefield. Hence, the research on recognition of truck targets has great military and economic value. Micro-Doppler of running wheels is an important signature of trucks. In the paper, based on scatterer model, under high frequency radar system, taking the relative position of radar and truck into consideration, the occlusion model of truck is established by applying the Painter´s algorithm, then the variation of the micro-Doppler with respect to azimuth, depression angle, velocity and acceleration is analyzed, which is the fundament of signature extraction and recognition for truck targets. The effectiveness of the method is proved by the simulation results.
